Did cows kill my birds?

I can’t necropsy. The birds all died and not here anymore. The poults cage was right next to the fence. I have at least 75 chickens. They are all fine. The poults were doing great. Then just started dying. One every 2 days until all were dead. They were raised here. No new birds were introduced. There cage was made so wild birds can’t get to them. Only explanation was maybe the cows. Which are still sick with whatever they have. Or the weather. It is hot then rains and temps drop drastically. It’s been raining off and on. At night the poults were put in there house cause they wouldn’t roost in there by themselves. I’ve raised turkeys here before just fine.
There are so many things that can kill turkeys in short order. Out of one or two hundred things, I'd place cows at about 3,947 on the list.

Sorry for your losses. With your description I only know for sure it is /was something contagious.

You are free to ask the owner of the cows if he knows what’s wrong with his cows. If he doesn’t know but might be something contagious like HPAI he probably is obliged to investigate.
In Texas, Kansas and New Mexico (march) and in the meanwhile probably in other states they too, HPAI was found in cattle. I have no knowledge of any other diseases that can go from cattle to poultry.

Its also possible the cage your poultry was in, was put on previously contaminated soil/grass 💩 by wildlife/birds visiting or birds flying over.
