Did cream legbar roo pass on autosexing trait?

I just hatched a group of chicks from a cream legbar rooster and a variety of hens of different breeds. A number of chicks from various hens have the light spot on the head that indicates a male in purebred cream legbar. Did that trait pass to the crossbreeds? Are these definitely male? Thanks.

No it doesn't work that way.
The headspot indicates the barring gene. A legbar rooster has two copies of barring so he will pass barring to every chick. Depending on the chicks down color/pattern it might show up well, not so well or not at all.
What makes a legbar autosexing is the combination of one or two copies of barring and the wild type e+ pattern.

Ok thanks! I'll just have to wait and see what happens. I haven't hatched my own in years, been buying hatchery female chicks each year (with the occasional surprise male in there). So this is a new experience!
