Did he sell me all his roos as "hens" warning pic heavy

I think they're all girls except number 4. I'll bet numbers three and four are EE crosses. A beautiful collection of birds.

A beautiful collection of birds.

thank you, We are all so excited over our chickens.
Now to find names for them all...lol once we know the sexes of the 2 smallest red ones that I will post in the am, we get to name them.
Only one of the little red ones of all the chickens will come close to us. The kids have called it Curious George. We will see if it too is a boy as some have suggested, or may need to be Georgina.
I definitely got a colorful flock, not all the breeds I had originally wanted but we can get those later, right.....I mean can you ever have enough chickens.

I don't think so.
I think we have become addicted. A friend of my DH told him when he found out we got 10 more to go with the few silkies, "well, chickens are addictive, I grew up with them"

btw got 2 more coming Saturday AND an incubator.
BYC is the best.
DH says I seem to be much happier now too since I found out that I did get girls, he is right. I was just so worried and confused that I totally messed up.

I would have to say
1 is either a RIR or Production red
2 EE
3 Jersey Giant if its still a baby & has the black slate legs--Ask Chickenzoo on that one--She will know.
4 If I could see his chest looks like poss a Cornish Mix roo
5 Laying down cant tell poss a Sexlink
6 & 7-partridge Rocks
9 Golden Comet.

You look like you have mostly hens.

1 production red female
2 EE female
3 black australorp looks like a male
4 mix, possibly with BA, male
5 looks like the same bird as in pic 4, male
6 partridge rock female
7 partridge rock female
8 red sexlink females

HI THERE! I agree with hinkjc, you don't get that colouring in females. I wonder whether it's some kind of cross between a game bird (because of the stance ) and a Dorking? I have hen who looks like that but your one's colouring is very like my Dorking males. How many toes has it and do you know how old it is? Also is he growing larger faster than the other birds you bought? If he is and you don't want a Roo, only hens, he will make a good celebration supper if yor feed him well.

those are hen saddle feathers, It'd have a fair size comb/wattles if it was getting "rooster feathers" plus it has a hen color.. the only way a rooster could have all of that is being a hennie. and even that would still give them a fair size comb they'd just be colored like and have feathers in shapes of hens

4 is 5 and its going to be one beautiful rooster when that EE boy grows up!

3 might be what he called an Austrolorp but if its got a bit of a beard like I think, its also an EE but a pullet.

1 is a bit beat up, featherwise so can't really tell but don't worry or cry about it, if it crows on down the line, or lays an egg, you'll know and its nothing to worry about right now:)

They are very pretty hens, the rest, so be happy and enjoy...feel pride and remember, if you determine before you begin that you are going to fail, then you will, so put it in your head that whatever you do, its all enjoyable and fun Enjoy life! That's why we are all on this group, we are all having fun and enjoying life w/our beautiful chicken flocks, right?
