Did I accidentally get 3 Ameracaunas from Cackle?

As far as I know, they're still trying to get the splash, gold & black & the lavender recognized. If it's a true lavender, it will breed true. You could also check out the Ameraucana Chicken group on Facebook - A lot of reputable breeders are on & are really good at making suggestions, etc

Ok so since we’re all here, go ahead an humor me.

Possible Ameracauna or Easter Egger? I know the rooster has bleed through coloring based off another discussion so even if he is an Ameracauna he may not be breed worthy, but still. I am interested in the pullet. She has a twin sisters that looks just like her, I can’t tell them apart. This is Sam the rooster and either Gertie or Birdie the pullet.
Thanks!

This guy could be a blue Ameraucana with very severe base color bleed-through, but hard to say for sure. I had a black rooster whose base color showed through so he was not good for breeding to the Standard because that is passed along. Mine produced a son that was almost completely silver/white once.

Thank you very much for your input. :)
He’ll probably be the one breeding with everyone most because he is obviously the dominant male. He’s bigger than my other male and is crowing already. He had to get his crow collar the other day so the neighbors didn’t complain and alert the powers that be.
It’ll definitely be interesting to see what he fathers in my mixed flock.

I know this isn't helpful, but he's so beautiful! Just had to tell ya! lol

They are beautiful!

Thank you!! He is the sweetest boy. I pray I can manage to keep him until we get out to our farm in the near few months. We’re in town right now and they have a 6 hen limit and zero rooster tolerance.
We’re currently at 19, two of which are roosters. :gig
Thank goodness for back up plans!

He's adorable! Looks like he couldn't quite decide between being a silver & a blue!

They are noisy, but it becomes part of the background & you learn to recognize warnings. I've only been at this since June 2016 & it's been quite the experience - Wouldn't trade.
I bred these 2
Roosters.JPG

To 2 splash hens, 1 blue wheaten hen & 3 blue hens & got 11 splash pullets, 1 blue rooster, 3 splash roosters & 2 black/gold bleed roosters. We have a blue/wheaten & a blue rooster from the original group that we plan to breed next season, but smarter (hopefully) this time around. The blue wheaten we'll put with a couple of wheaten splash & 2 blue wheaten hens & see what happens. The blue rooster will go with the blue hens & the splash - I'm hoping for a nice black rooster from this. I'm trying to make sure that I breed my best layers.

If your roosters are anything like mine, the beards & muffs disappear from the hens during mating season - The roosters use them as leverage. On the bright side, they do grow back when the molt:)
