Did I accidentally get a rooster?

Hey all,
Just like a lot of newbies I'm wondering if I've gotten a rooster in my garden instead of a hen.
I bought them when they were 10weeks old (trying to pick the more feminine looking ones). She/he is now 6 months old and I was thinking it was looking like it was a she and getting ready to lay. Then I've starting now thinking I may have a rooster.
She's either a purebred orpington or a cross with a Cochin (but she's massive so I'm thinking she can't be half batam).
If anyone could help me, that would be fantastic. Thanks heaps

I'm not seeing any photo. Trying to ID a bird without a pic is a bit like shooting in the dark. If you can get a photo posted, we'd be happy to take a look at your bird. )
