Did i catch the killer?

Ive caught 6 skunks this year and have lost 5 chickens. This last one killed didnt look like the work of a skunk. I set up up the live trap and caught a cat. He looks larger than your average cat but i find it hard to believe a cat would kill and take a full grown chicken. Either way i will be relocating him far from the house. What do you guys/girls think? Did i catch the killer?

If a cat were to take on an adult chicken I would expect there to be some damage on the cat as well. Check to see if you can find any scratches, missing fur, or blood on the cat.

I did not notice anything on him and the hen was perty old, she was going on 7 years. Also these cats are wild. Never had human owners. I live in rural west texas so they survive catching other animals. This is the first ive lost one to a cat though, if it was him.

I doubt it.
Where's the rest of the dead chicken, did it pull it thru the fence??
Raccoon maybe, or bobcat?

Either way i will be relocating him far from the house.
