Did I cook them??

Well like I said a few posts back, I candled them on Day 7 and saw nothing, so that is why everyone is telling me to wait a few days. I did one really quick last night (Day 8) and still nothing.

Time will tell.

Well, it's Day 11, and still nothing. I'm calling it. :(
But since the incubator is settled at the right temp, I'm going to take advantage. I'm putting something like 27 chicken eggs in there tonight. (I just lost my sweet Amber Link yesterday to an unknown daytime predator at the neighbor's. She was easily one of my nicest chickens, and liked being held. I found all of her eggs from this last week, and I'm putting them all, along with quite a few others in there.

Hopefully this time will go better.

I was curious, though: Are the 14 duck eggs still edible? Or are they junk after being in there for 11 days at 102ish degrees?

Personally, I wouldn't start eggs anytime after 3pm... It takes awhile for that internal temp of your egg to reach where you need it too.. maybe the more experienced hatchers do it .. But that's just me.. Once its running at the desired temp with the eggs do I sleep soundly.

As for eating the ducks eggs...

after 11 days at that temp?? No way!

So today is day 7. I just did the first candling. I didn't see any sort of veining in them. Don't know if the shell is just too thick or what, but I was able to see the yolk. All 14 with no veins. Very discouraging.

Should I keep going or start over again? I doubt that I ended up with all infertile eggs. I see my drake doing his thing all the time with his 3 ladies. Wonder if the temp just did them in...
If they are white eggs, you should see the veins clearly. I have an awful time seeing them in brown eggs. 112 probably did them in. I did the same EXACT thing you did my first time, but only went to 105. A few hatched.
