While checking out the duck pen at the feed store I saw this beauty standing tall amongst the crowd. After it clawed the catcher's arm I figured it was a muscovy, but upon further research I think it is a mule (muscovy/mallard cross). He can fly really well and is quite aggressive compared to all my mallard-type ducks. My jumbo pekin boy has successfully pulled the feathers from his neck already but peace seems to be setting in after about a week. Does anybody have any info on these type of ducks? Should I be doing something different for "Ferris" that I am not doing for my others. I have never had muscovy or mixes before!

Yes, it does look like a mulard. I don't think you need to do anything special for him except make sure he can't fly away.

Are those Rouens next to him?

He seems to like hanging around the other ducks so I hope he doesn't go anywhere! Those are Rouens...

No need to do anything special for that duck than the others.
He almost looks like a Rouen Muscovy cross. Mule ducks are any mallard derived breed (campbells, pekins, rouens etc). It doesn't always mean they are crossed with a mallard duck.

He is a big boy so he could easily be rouen, etc. derived. He does fly very well though, but so do muscovies so who knows.....
