Is this ameraucana for sure a chicken? I’ve had bad luck getting 3 out of my 6 chicks roos and want to make sure that the pointed feathers around the neck on this one do not indicate yet another rooster. Thank you

That looks to be a hen if older - what age? I agree that the hackles look a bit sharp, but that could just be the patterning. Colouration suggests it’s an EE (sold as Americanas) instead of a true Ameraucana.

First three birds are cockerels - White rock, production red, and EE.

Fourth bird pictured is an EE pullet.
