I think a lot of these issues happen in the actual feed stores due to mixing chicks.

Even so, if only pullets were ordered rather than straight run there's still going to be about 1 male in every 10 chicks.

Unfortunately, people who are new to chickens don't know this.

The ones you suspect are cockerels, are cockerels. In the pic of the two suspected pullets, the one on the left is a pullet. We will need to see the face of the other to confirm.

The other one looks identical to the one shown. Both look completely different than thr cockerals.

Its a total bummer. I knew it was a possibility. I just got the luck if the draw of getting 4/6 cockerals haha! I wonder if they were mislabeled. I did get 4 white longhorn chicks last night... maybe I'll have better luck!

That sucks, I got 4/4 roosters in one batch and its so frustrating. Obviously that's just how she goes sometimes, but doesn't make it any less annoying! My boys were also pretty aggressive by 4 weeks, and one we dispatched before he was big enough to eat because he was such a little jerk.
