Did I get scammed?

Really they have yellow bibs when tiny?
They can, yes. It usually fades out as the adult feathers come in.

Granted, the ones I have this year might be mixed with Magpie. We had two Cayuga females and two Magpie females, and a male of each. I say had because one by one the females disappeared, except for one Magpie. And then my Magpie drake died.

The remaining one sat the collective nest and hatched out three chicks, and we got one from the eggs she left behind, before the heat messed up the incubator and killed the rest. :(

My three Muscovy were also all sitting, and every one of the eggs was infertile! I've been having a bad year with ducks. Hopefully, next year will be better with the new stock, and the blank-shooting drake gone.
