I made a egg temp simulator..lol using an old pill bottle, sand and a little water. Drill a hole in the top of the pill bottle, and stick the probe through. fill the bottle with sand, wet it through and stick the probe into the sand, close the lid and there ya go.

We actually blew out an egg and filled it with aloe, same principal. Good Idea DulcyDoll!

It's really up to you, we have done it both ways, I prefer the carton though. Make sure that if you decide to use the carton, POINTY END DOWN!

if they have been on their sides leave them that way I would not mess with cartons it can be tricky. Good luck. I have had water run out and all was fine.
