I'm not expert, but I would just leave it alone and see. I just had a broody hen hatch. She was setting on 6 eggs. The first one hatched 2 days before they were "due". The next 2 hatched over the course of the next 2 days. Then she stopped sitting on the eggs. I was planning to dispose of the eggs since I figured they were "duds". We were very busy that day, so I never got around to it. I remembered in the middle of the night and went out the next morning to get rid of those eggs, only to be surprised with a fourth little chick!
Sadly, though, today my son found that 3 chicks were missing and the fourth was dead. I'm almost positive it was a snake. He did, however, ingest 2 ceramic eggs as well, so he will soon be a dead snake.![]()
Ok, thank you so much. I am sorry about your little chickies, that is so sad. Hopefully the snake will get what he deserves. I am sure
that ceramic eggs will not go too well with it.
