We noticed he was limping and the only thing I could find was that it looks like his toenails are 'turned' or broke so they lay flat(his left foot which is on the right)...Is this the problem and if so, is it fixable?!?!?

Beats me but fascinating. I can't wait to hear responses. Very good photo.
Could it be a vitamin deficiency? How old is he?

He's just over 6 mths old and eats a combo of scratch, pellets and starter(they have access to all food) as well as free range from 7am-9pm everyday so he eats pretty much anything he wants...

I'm not an expert but I would just say they're super-long curved nails and can't possibly lay straight, so they have no choice but to flop over flat to the side. I can only compare this to similar situations I've seen in dogs with overgrown nails.

Can you trim them?

have they always been like that or is it just recent because if he had that all along plus if his toenails are long that could be the whole problem. I would imagin that if he broke them he would keep his leg pulled up under him as much as possible
