My chicken was walking funny a second ago and now she fine... I think. What happened was I gave her a much needed bath, dried her with a towel, and perched her on my hand. She was very eager to get away, and she jumped as soon as I let go of her. She didnt land on her feet. That's all I remember. I think she kind of landed on her side. I watched her get up and run off, then, she stood around for awhile and started walking around limping and pigeon toed. I flipped out, caught her, wrapped her in a towel, and held her for awhile. I put her back down and watched her walk. She was fine as I could see, maybe a faint limp unless my paranoid brain is imagining it. Is she okay? I'm very worried. Thanks for reading!

Birds can sprain their muscles and tendons just as humans. Especially large breeds that hop off high perches. If your bird was struggling to escape you, then she may have pulled something along the leg somewhere. Sometimes it only takes a moment for the pain to subside and other times if it is bad enough, they may need to be caged for a week or two to allow the sprain to heal. If your girl is ok today, then she is probably fine. :-)
