Did one of my quail have egg bound or prolapse?

This morning I noticed that one of my quail had an egg about to come out. It wouldn't come out! I took my quail out and I saw that where the egg comes out there was a hole. And so I looked in the hole and there was the egg except in the intestines. She finally laid the egg but there was still a hole and I put neosporin on it. What else should I do?
