It is not the tenp that stops laying, it is the shortening of the days.

Ohhh well they days are getting short too. Sun rises at 8 and it goes down at around 7

She’s 21Wks old she might be a lay boomer considering she was really malnourished when she was younger. Who knows how long she was in the woods without food. I’m sure she still had grass and stuff but when we found her she was hiding in a bush.

21 weeks is not a late bloomer, usually 24 weeks is the average for a hen, but longer is not uncommon.

Yeah we tried when she was a chick but they wouldn’t sell us individuals and we jsut can’t afford another coop and a bigger yard. I have a friend with chickens and hopefully in the spring she can loan me one or I can give her mine. The reason we have an only chick is because we found her in the woods
