Did she.....Want to mate?

Hey all, I just got my duck, Sunny back from our friends. After being on vacation for 10 days. They did good, a little rough with handling but good. Anyways, as soon as I walk into thier yard, Sunny sees me. But it wasn't her usual behavior. She slowly walked up to me, looked at my face, then layed down. Head outstreched, wings slightly opened. She layed comepletly flat, making small cooing noises. lasted for about 30 seconds until I picked her up and started to pet her. After that, everything was normal again. She hates everyone else, but loves me. Same old Sunny! But I never saw her do that before, and now did I just realize the she maybe wanted to mate? She 7 months old. A lone duck. Just me and my family for flock mates.

Yep, she was in the mood to mate, lol, my hens do that alot when I lose drakes .

Sounds like she need a cold shower lol. My girls do that too!!

I would suggest getting her a friend, even just another hen so she knows she's a duck and not a human, lol.
