Dominiques will sometimes throw single combs. Or for that matter any type of rose comb breed.I hatch around 200 Doms each week 5% come single combed..

I have:
2 that have brown on them
1 with a single comb
1 with a half black/white face
and the other 8 look similar (some are lighter like the chick in post #10), and the darker chicks have dark beaks, legs and feet.

Not too sure. I am sure that the spider gave me a small heart attack!!!

I am terrified of them, I had my little girl on my lap and we were up close looking at the pics and then I just about lost it!!! and her right off my lap!

Thank you. We have the chicks out in our workshop and that thing is tiny compared to what I usually find. I think that was a baby spider, the adult ones are bigger than a quarter (they make my heart stop). But I was laying on the floor taking pictures . I thought it was a piece of string coming out of the rug, until shnookey asked and I looked at the bigger picture

. I wonder if the chick ate it? I did turn my back for a minute and I didn't see it when I took more pictures.

Last year we were blessed with scorpions and huge millipedes in the house

. I haven't seen them inside, yet, this year. I can't stand spiders or bugs either, but I hate snakes more.

It isn't all bad, because we also have a ton of birds, ladybugs, butterflies and dragonflies

I like snakes! I have 2 for a pet! But when it comes to spiders......

oh my! I have actually passed out because a spider was on my arm!!!!

I am quiet sure it will be the death of me! I will just see one and drop over dead!!

I am glad I don't have to deal with scorpions! I could handle the millipedes! And on a regular basis I find snakes in mt basement! I figure they help keep the mice under control. My house cat is rather over weight so she would prefer to not run and catch them.

I hope your little guy DID eat it
