I had a moment of weakness when I came across a bin of Cinnamon Queens and SLW’s. Never had Cinnamon Queens and they should be sex linked. Are they colored correctly to be female?

I am not informed on Cinnamon Queens, but the ones with lighter down color and less feathers coming in could be cockerels because those two things are signs. They could be, they could not be. We will see.

Been a loooong time since I've had Cinnamon Queens but mine looked different then those chicks.
Maybe the cross used is different now days.

This. Cinnamon Queens are a red/gold sex-linked bird (a red/gold roo over a silver hen). Male chicks are heterozygous silver and female chicks are red/gold, so male chicks are lighter colored at hatch.

Depending on the specific mix that the hatchery uses the difference can be more obvious. For example, Cackle and Meyers' RIRxRIW are especially easy to tell apart at hatch, whereas Hoover's RIRxSLW is more subtle difference, and is easiest to tell apart by comparison.

Yours have a pretty strong chipmunk pattern, which makes me think they might be the RIRxSLW cross. If so, it's going to be tough to tell; keep an eye on any that seem significantly lighter than the others. No reason to think you have any roos at this stage, though!

I'm pretty ignorant on this ... but the pictures at Cackle suggest that darker colors are better.
