Did you build your own coop or buy one already made?

I got lucky and inherited the coop when we bought our house. Previous owners built it themselves.

We bought one - from Amazon! - and its a bit small for our 4 girls so we are building our own. It'll have some built in storage and easy access to the waterer and feeder.

I actually bought a coop and run via a facebook yardsale group for 100.00

The run is made of a steel carport frame and is wrapped in welded wire with chicken wire along the bottom. The coop seen here is about 2 1/2 feet off of the ground and since this picture, has been enclosed. In the spring, the coop will probably either be replaced with a 8x10 barn or will be expanded.

We re-purposed a greenhouse that came with the property to a coop. Now I kind of wish I had my greenhouse back

. But, it's huge enough for (almost) all the birds I want to have, so that's a good thing.
