Didn't know baby chicks liked dust baths, too!

Hi all!

I got some food grade DE today, and decided to try it out in the brooder bedding... just because I had it, I guess. Those smart little chicks went to TOWN taking their first little dust baths!!! They are about 14 days old, and I had no idea they would already like a dust bath! I sat and watched forever, and then finally took some video... it was too cute! Hopefully they were doing just because it felt good... they don't seem to have parasites, but you never know...

Just wanted to share! I feel kinda bad that I didn't do it sooner...

Yep they LOVE their dust baths!! I was changing mines food one day before I left for work and didn't wanna waste it so I placed some newspaper in their brooder and they went wild over it like it was dirt or something!! Funniest things!!

I have a sandbox in with my 2 week old BO...today I put the new chicks in their brooder for a lil bit to let them mingle. Those babies are just 5 days old but some of them knew what to do in the sandbox...so funny to watch them kicking the sand and throwing it up over their body.
