I just read in my magazine that you definitely should not give chickens avocados. I just gave my chickens one 2 days ago. Is there anything I should be worried about now? They did eat some, but not much.
What else should I avoid?

I wouldn't worry about it.

It has been posted that the biggest worry would be the skin and pit. I'm not sure if that's accurate. Although I don't give any avocado to birds. Too many years with cage birds. That is about the only thing I won't give to my chickens; well and anything rotten or spoiled.

My flock free ranges in an avocado orchard, they eat a lot of avos and it just gives them very shiny plumage. I wouldn't worry about it.

Hass avos are supposed to be low in the persin toxin, that's what my birds are eating.

Thanks everyone. That makes me feel much better.
Anything else besides apple seeds, raw beans and potatoes, and citrus to avoid? (these are the things I have read anyway)
