I live in Florida. I've had chickens for 3 years and all of the sudden they are dieing off. I've lost 5 in the last 2 months .
It is happening very quick. They act lethargic and bam in a day their dead.

I am giving nutri drench in water and separating them once I see signs.

I just brought #6 in and I'm sure she will be dead by morning like all the others and I will be sending her for a necropsy.

Nothing has changed in diet. Only thing is we have had ALOT of rain lately. And I have mushrooms sprouting all over my yard and thinking may be they are poisonous . Any ideas ??

It would be impossible to know for sure without a necropsy by your state poultry vet, but heat, coccidiosis, or mold might be problems. The mushrooms could be a problem as well, but I haven’t seen my chickens touch mushrooms that have sprouted. If you lose another, keep the body cool, but not frozen, and contact the state vet. Here is a link to find your state vet:

It looks like Kissimmee is where they do the necropsies, but you may also contact Gainesville:

Sorry for your loss.

I don't think it's the mushrooms but I can't know for sure. How does their poop look? Have they ever been treated for coccidiosis? If not, I would get them some Corid ASAP. Dosage is 1 tsp/gallon for moderate infection or 2 tsp/gallon if it's extreme. I would use 2 tsp/gallon in your case. Make sure that it's the ONLY water they can get to and mix it up fresh every day. I would use this for 7 days then reevaluate. If you feed fermented feed, give them dry feed while they're being treated. For any that won't drink on their own, use an eye dropper to carefully get some medicated water in to them.
