Difference Between Button and Coturnix Quail?

    Hello all,
    I am new to the quail world, and a few times I have seen people selling button eggs mixed with Coturnix eggs, what it the difference between the two, are the Coturnix Bigger?[​IMG]

    Coturnix are MUCh bigger than button quails, jumbo button quails are about around the size of a pigeon, where as button quails are about around the size of a fluffy parakeet. They are slightly related, but have totally differentn colors and ways to sex them. Their calls are different as well. Buttons lay mostly solid brown, blue or green eggs. ANd coturnix mostly lay white with dark brown spots. That's just a few of the differences if you saw the two in person you'd never again be confused with the two promise ya! [​IMG]
