Difference between orpingtons

Hi, this might be a stupid question but is there any difference other than color with orpington breeds? Are lavender orpingtons the same as buff orpingtons in personality and egg laying? Thanks!

Colour does not determine the characteristics and personality of the bird, its like getting a black lab or brown lab, people might say there is a difference but its the same breed ^^

I agree. All Orpingtons, no matter what color variety, are typically friendly and gentle birds (my children made lap pets of them) and are good layers of large, brown eggs.
