Is the size the only difference? I mean do they still mature at the same rate and lay like a son of a gun?

Pharoahs are normally mature (full body size) at 6 weeks, jumbos take from 8-12 weeks to grow to their biggest size. Most butcher at 8 weeks but most jumbos are sitll filling out until 12 but most dont like to wait that long. I only notice it because I keep my jumbos for breeding.

Jumbos lay MUCH larger eggs almost bantam size.

They sometimes can, but not always.

if you have 14 hours of light on them daily from, lets say 3 1/2 weeks on they will lay when they are meant to, if that's 5-8 weeks old

If they are outside, this time of year again, they will lay when they are meant to as long as the darn weather corroporates. Sunny days equals eggs

Same here well on my garden. My one hen that hasn't gotten attacked and taken off gives me an egg every single day ran or shine. As far as my yard it stays wet for at least a week after rain and it won't even go that long without raining....hows a man pose to plant a garden?
