Difference in Jumbo and Regular Quail

This is going to sound like a silly question. But I have mine under a covered porch to keep them cooler during the day (its been in the upper 80's - low 90's in the afternoons already!) Does that affect egg production? Do they need "full sun" haha

Moss grows on the barn roofs here, if that gives you an idea of lack of sun

Same here well on my garden. My one hen that hasn't gotten attacked and taken off gives me an egg every single day ran or shine. As far as my yard it stays wet for at least a week after rain and it won't even go that long without raining....hows a man pose to plant a garden?

Looks like im going to have a long hard talk with my hens that one hen is showing them up

least you're able to plant a garden!!! Got 3 acres here I can plant on.... 2 of which are sunny enough... and my mom (whom we rent from) doesn't want a garden visual from the road.... (like gardens are ugly or something!!!!???)soo no garden for me!

Unless i pot them all! LOL!

I will say hanging baskets can work pretty well or just a little piece of lattace (spelling) for stuff like cucumbers. I love my garden. its peaceful working it every week or so...Good thing my mom loves the same hobby

Vegetables: broccoli, beans, beets, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, leafy greens (including collards, mustard greens, spinach, and kale), onions, peas, radishes, salad greens (including leaf lettuce, arugula, endive, cress, and radicchio), and Swiss chard.

Fruits: blackberries, blueberries, currants, gooseberries, raspberries, and strawberries.

Herbs: cardamon, chives, garlic, and mint.

Looks like those are some options of 6 hours of sunlight a day, its a start
