differences between raising poults & chicks ?

I noticed that with my 2 poults. They are being raised by one of my broody australorps along with a one chick. It took them forever to learn how to get into the coop at night, and they are constantly wandering off and loosing track of their mama. They are now 3 wks old and wow can they fly!
