So I have an Araucana on order at my local feed store.
What it probably will be is a EE, as pure Araucanas are rare?
Is that right?
Actually that would be better anyway. I really wanted an EE.
And I loved the comment about them being surprise packages.

Only EE's 3 of mine were ordered as Ameraucana's from Meyer but they are EEs.

I'm going to post a pictorial of this EE chick as it feathers out. I was trying for a chick that would not end up the typical brown partridge color. I have a lot of those, and wanted more colors in the flock. This is supposed to be a pullet, but I have my doubts. We can follow along with that development as well!

Approximately 3 days old:

3.5 weeks old: Body and tail are off-white. Hackles and head appear to be coming in buff. There is one dark feather in the hackle area.

There are frizzled EEs available on ebay right now (or this past week, the auction may have ended now). They are TOO adorable!

I keep looking to see if my chickies daddy will be shown here. The guy that gave me the eggs told me he thought he was pure Ameraucana, but I looked at the color charts on that website and I could not find him. Sooooo a shout out to the Ameraucana Police..... What the heck is Billy the Roo???

It would be nice to know if he is Ameraucana or EE, and the color description...... Oh, and he said something when he sent me this about moulting and that he usually is fluffier below his chin. My chicks all have puffs under their eyes, but no beards yet (they are 3 days old)
