Different colored wings on Delaware chicks

In this batch of chicks I got last week, I have four Delaware chicks. Two of them have wings the same color as their bodies, and the other two have darker wings, a sort of gray barring. Does this indicate gender, or is it just a difference in chicks?

Here are a couple photos to show the difference...the two on the left in the first, and on the right in the second.

Anyone? I know, I can wait til they're six weeks and likely be able to tell. Just wondering why the difference. :)

Hey! I just came across this - I have two Delaware likely around the same age as yours, and one had similar gray barring while the other one was pretty much completely white (now has some black and some speckles forming on neck, etc.). It's still too early for me to tell if either is male or female, but my search into the breed suggests that it's just a difference in appearance and doesn't indicate gender, although if they have a lot of "smut" on their back while developing feathers that may indicate male. I'm still learning, though!

It did turn out that two of them were cockerels, but I don't know if they're the two with dark wings or if they're one of each.

Thanks! I purchased my chicks from TSC. They are supposed to be all females?

Oh, look on these threads for the amount of times sexed chicks turn out to be surprise genders! It's not a perfect science (or at very least, not executed perfectly every time), so unless sex linked, there's always a chance of a surprise rooster! I'm still not 100% confident that my group of 9ish week chicks are all female, and until they lay eggs I won't be hah.
