I have 50 Bob White Quail and 50 Coturnix Quail in a forced air bator with an auto turner all set at the same time. As well as 17 Pheasant eggs in a still air bator and hand turning. The expected hatch dates are the 3rd of June for the Coturnix, the 7th of June for the Pheasent and then June 10th for the Bob White. What is the best way to handle lock dowwn in the 2 bators?

I would put the coturnix eggs to the bator the pheasants are in, and lock down that bator. Put the pheasant eggs in the turner with the bobs. Then just put the pheasant eggs back in their original bator for their lock down.

The pheasent eggs do not fit in the auto turner as it is for quail........ but I might be able to take enough trays out to lay the pheasent eggs on the screen. That would probably work. Thanks.

Hmm good point. Do you have chicken egg rails for your turner? Just swap three of the rails out and that gives you 21 spaces,I use them for chukar and pheasant eggs. If you don't already have a set of rails you can probably order them from amazon in time for it to work out.
