I bought a zilla digital thermometer for my incubator but it is reading about 4.5 degrees cooler than the old school miller that the machine came with and it has never let me down and is right at 100 the digital thermometer didn't have any kinds of instructions, but to put the batteries in it what are the thoughts from the wise?

I considered the "zilla", but after reading an "online review" * that was NOT complimentary, I decided against buying it.

* I recall that the "review" was on a Reptile Hatching Forum.

IF the "old school" thermometer has worked well for you, perhaps you should stick with "what works". (If it ain't broke, don't fix it....)

After 2 failed batches I broke down and bought 2GQF's, one digital and 1 that looks like a meat thermometer..Both are also hygrometers..And I got a digital with probe zilla at the pet store..The GQF's and the LG temp are compatable but the zilla is at least 3 degrees off.. Just a thought...

Thanks for the input on the topic just wondered what experiences others have had with them:lol:
