Urban Coyote hosted one a little while ago, and I promised to do another- so:

Please include a before and after photo so we can see what kind of change/enhancement you made, and the Name and Breed of your bird. The contest is open to all Barnyard Fowl. Bonus points for double meaning and creative thinking (ex. your interpretations of "Booted Bantam", "Bearded Chicken", "Clean Legged", etc).

1st place winner receives a $5 Purina coupon towards your chicken feed, 2nd and 3rd place winners each get their choice of a recent back issue of Poultry Press, or a framed 5x7 print of their winning picture.

It was unanimous, the winners are:

1st is Jazlyn's Little Grey & the Tiger
2nd Urban Coyote's Hawk Chicken
3rd herechickchick's Apple Hen

2nd and 3rd place let me know which prize you prefer, and if you all PM me your addresses- I'll get your prizes headed your way. Thank You, Thank You to everyone who entered, these were great and I wish I had more prizes...this contest made me laugh and laugh!

Example: "Tuxedo Bantam"

AWChickens, you should probably put **Prize!** on the contest title to attract more attention.

I happened to get my chicks New Year's Eve.....

Actually, I got them about 9 months ago from Meyers. I ordered 25 straight run brown egg layers which ended up being all pullets. Anyone want some eggs???

Here is my East Indie color morph. I was wondering what an East Indie duck would look like with different iridescent colors.
