A few months ago our dachshund killed my Saxony drake. At the time, his Rouen mate had just hatched cross ducklings that are now the loveliest blue fawn color. We also got 2 male freebies thrown in with our chicks from cackle hatchery. So I now have 2 unrelated Mallard males, and 2 related blue fawn Rouen/Sax males. That leave me with the mother, my rouen hen, and her 2 daughters. I know that a 4-3 male to female ratio is not good. I was going to keep ONE male... my question is, are blue fawns sought after enough that I can sell these boys or should we just butcher them? And if we do butcher them, how old should they be? They are 9.5 weeks old today.
