Dirt balls on feet

We just got hens with dirt balls on their toenails. How do we get them off? Thanks all

If you will provide a good clean (with chickens the word "clean" is relative) medium for your birds to scratch in I am sure that your hens will wipe the mud off of their own feet.

how bad are you talking? it will probably self resolve but you could always soak them in warm water and break it up, maybe trim the nails if they are super long.

For most of them it's not too bad. We tried warm water but it was still on pretty good. I hope they come out on their own. Thank you
