Dirt Bath HELP

Hi I live in Scotland where rain is every other day and was wondering firstly how to make a dirt bath and would it last in the weather conditions.

a part wood ash one part dirt. put that in a sandbox, or some kind of box. if its rainy then put it under something to keep it dry.
