Good evening folks;

I was out hanging out with my girls when I spotted one of the girls had a dirty butt. I picked her up and had a look at her, and noticed that no only was it dirty, but it smelled bad and the feathers didn't look right. I took her out of her run and gave her a nice Bidet treatment with the hose. I noticed that the feathers do in deed look weird, and some are missing. Her vent seems okay, nothing oozing out of it and I don't see any nits. The skin doesn't appear to be irritated (in one picture it is a little red from me rubbing it). It doesn't seem to bother her, but I am a little concerned. She is a 13 month old Golden Buff. Any ideas of what could be causing this? I haven't noticed this on any of the other girls.

Check feces might be coccidia .
I thought about that; I will separate her out tomorrow morning and see about getting a sample from her. None of the dropping in the coop seem off. The coop is bone dry; the run is a little moist, but nothing terrible (we had a rain a few nights ago). She is eating and drinking fine, no lethargy. I have the medicine on hand to treat for coccidiosis, which is a win. Thanks for your reply.
