Dirty butts

I wish I could let my dogs interact with the chicks. i have a cocker and shihtzu mix that want to eat them

You might also want to give some probiotics (available at the farm stores in little packets) or give them a small amount of plain greek yogurt. I did the packets with the new batch of chicks this year and only had two pasty butts for a couple days out of 11 chicks...after that it cleared up.
