Dirty Chicks

My feather legged chicks seem to be getting really dirty, no mattee how often I clean the brooder. its manily just their feet. Is there anything i can do?

I take my brahmas out whenever they start getting crusty feet and scrub them gently with an old toothbrush. It gets all the crud out. As for the brooder, I mix up the bedding about every other day and scoop/sift out the top layer and throw a little more on top. This keeps the poop drier and less sticky nasty feet.
