Hey everyone! I got some EE eggs from someone local. They are beautiful blues and greens. The mother's are all EE's and the father is a rumpless and tufted Aruacana. I'm so anxious for these eggs to hatch! When I got them they were a dirty mess because it had rained for nearly a week here. So I just wiped them off a bit, I know please don't scold me. They really were nasty. Here are some pics from before and after. There is also one from the day I set them. The flash did wash them out quite a bit, but you get the idea. Tomorrow is lockdown for them. They have been so hard to candle that I just gave up on trying, now I just do a sniff test each time I turn them. Hopefully nothing happens while they are in lockdown. The stress from not knowing is about to drive me crazy!! Anyhow, here are the pictures:

Good luck. I have some in that looked about like that and also got some shipped that had egg goo all over them from some cracked ones. I rinsed those w warm water. I am having trouble seeing in them too. Here's hoping:)

Darn thick blue eggs! Good Luck on your hatch!

Next time try to store them/move them with the pointy end down. The air sacs are supposedly better protected that way.

And I wipe/dry sand eggs all the time. You'll be fine.

Thanks! I know better than to do that! LOL That was how they came and I guess I didn't think about it and just put them back in there real quick.

Hopefully they will turn out ok. Good luck to all of you too!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I had 11 chicks hatch out of the 28 eggs that I got. Out of the other 17, 2 were early quitters and the rest died between day 18 and hatching. Seems like quite a few of them just didn't pip

It was heartbreaking to see so many of them so close to hatch and the not make it. Then again the guy that I got them from said that when they tried to hatch all of theirs died out around day 18, atleast I did a bit better than that. I'll post some pics in a few.

Congrats on the 11! I just got dirty Polish Bantam Frizzle eggs shipped from a friend, and I cleaned them, and put them in the incy....your post gives me hope that they will hatch!

I'd love to see pics of your chicks!
