dirty eggs

i got some quail eggs shipped to me today off ebay. the problem is that even though they sent extras, several of the eggs are pretty dirty. i would not have sent eggs this dirty but what has been your success rate hatching dirty eggs?

I had one sent to me thru ship that was dirty all the way around. I still tried to incubate it though, it ended up being a weeping egg. So that is my experience with a dirty egg.

I suspect a greater failure rate with dirty eggs, but haven't kept any real notes to verify it. Just a general impression I've gotten over the years.

Quite a few of my eggs have dirt on them, haven't had any problems with it yet... It's like the ones I don't expect to do well do the best.

I would just wash them and put them in the bator and see what happens.
