Well as i have posted before, My buff duck has gone broody, when she gets up ( rarely ) to go take a quick wash, i sometimes sneak a peek inside.

An egg or too seem to be kind of dirty. Like wet yet not, kind of sticky, but no cracks or leaks in the eggs.

Any ideas what is going on?

Should I gently wash them in luke warm water while mama is out? Just so they arent as dirty?

I wouldn't... the bloom should stay on the eggs. Imagine if they were in a nest next to a pond.

Aren't ducks sort of dirty-ish in general?

Ok, Thanks!

I was just worried that possibly , when they are ready to hatch , they might have trouble breaking through the shell.
