Dirty nesting boxes after one night

If you like i can send you a picture of the inside of the duck house with the nests and everything they have made. The only thing i have to buy bedding wise is the pellets and i only do that every other month or so because i leave those in when i take out the grass because the grass catches most of the poop. Very in expensive plus the grass can be used in plants after the ducks are done with it.

You know how these florida rains are going right now. And in my area they have been everynight when i get off work.

YES! I would love to see it! I enjoy seeing how others do their whole livestock thing....gives me ideas. And, I am way impressed with your thinking. The only thing that would be hard for me is....I dont' have a grass catcher, and my mowers are mulchers. BUT....my neighbor would share and probably LOVE for me to take theirs!

Yes.....pictures, please!

I dont have a catcher either. And mine mulches to but it leaves it laying around the yard so all i have to do is grab a rake and get a pile of what i need. And i have also figure out that my ducks like alot of it so i usually give them like 3 inches or so that will cover the whole bottom but put it in a corner of the house so they can spread it as they like it. If i do it for them they put it all into the corner anyway and start over. Silly ducks

When I was keeping my duckling and the duck sister's in the large dog crates I screwed a piece of a board across the front of the door to keep the bedding from falling out. works great.

I am going to do the same thing. Much better than straw, I think! Thanks for the suggestion!

Tell me about it! We have had so much rain that our canal out back over flowed it's banks and now the pasture is flooded. The ducks and geese don't mind at all, the goats are peeved.
