dirty water and food

My chicks keep throwing pine shavings in the feeder and waterer.. Could I maybe set them on a small piece of plywood or something to keep shavings out??

Welcome! Yes, do that. And as the chicks grow, raise the food and water gradually. I like the feeders that can be hung up, and put the waterers on blocks to raise them. Chickens are messy, and ducklings are much worse! Mary

Yeah I actually have 2 ducklings in with them and I can already tell there super messy
