One of my ducks has a wing deformity that I have seen before in a pekin duck as a kid, and I haven't had much luck finding out what causes this or if it can be fixed.

It seems to be a hindrance for my duck as he/she flicks it consistantly. When i got the duck (as a duckling) there were no signs of this until the feathers came in, so i don't think its the bone in the wing-tip but i may be wrong.

Any idea on how this happens or even how to fix it?

Looks similar to angel wing to me. In that case it would be too late to fix it. However it shouldn't affect his quality of life.

If its still young, you can wrap the bird in vet wrap which will correct the wing..if its older than that then nothing you can do really...if it gets really bad you can clip it do it dosent get caught on things.

Thank you, now I could look it up (couldnt find the name for the problem for a start), and I can see how the duck got like this from its food, as I have high protien feed I give my quails, and I mix it for all my other birds as well.

Once again, thanks.
