When my Delaware girls started laying, about 2 months ago, I placed all 6 of my ceramic eggs in their nest boxes. About a month ago I noticed that there were only 4 left. This was about the same time that I discovered a small family of skunks living under one of my sheds -- but they've since been dispatched. Then one of the 4 got involved in a "fracas" with a real egg that got cracked, so it got thrown out with the nest box bedding and everything else, leaving 3. Today, I'm down to 1 ceramic egg and I noticed that my broody only had 2 eggs in her box instead of the 3 she had a couple weeks ago. Any idea what's going on in that coop?
