My Muscovy duck "Dude" disappeared on Friday. I'm pretty sure he was a male and he was about 6 months old. Anyway, I let him out at about 8am and around 10:30 I realized that he wasn't around (he seems to always be on my front porch pooping-yuck). I looked all over for him or for a trace of him since the coyotes have been visiting a lot lately and I can't find anything- not even a feather! I am sure that if a coyote took him there would be feathers- he was a big duck. I've searched everywhere for 2 days. I've looked at all the fences surrounding the 15 acres I'm on, I've looked in every hiding spot that I can find- I've even thought that maybe he's a she and maybe on a nest... but a single duck, at 6 months old? Is that a possibility? It is so strange, it's like aliens took him, he's just gone. Any ideas?

He may have been chased off by coyotes. I have young male muscovies and they can fly for short periods of time and get away from predators.
Since he went missing in daylight can't think it was an owl and he's too big for a hawk...
If so he may wander back home... good luck
