OK
I received the email saying they were shipped on the 7th and no shipment as of yet. I am assuming as they sit who knows where over the weekend now they will surely be DOA. No tracking # just a shipment label number saying they received a label (how helpful

). I guess I'll try ordering eggs off Ebay if I can get a refund on these ones.

I called the place I ordered from and they have no idea where they are either or if they even actually shipped them or not. They said that the email I received could have been true that it shipped or just a mistake. :(

Our little post office here is not open on Saturdays for general walk-in type stuff; they deliver mail and you can pick up packages if they have called you. They know that I'm expecting eggs and to call but there is nothing to pick up. No one knows where they are.

Frustrating that My Pet Chicken can't even tell me if for sure they even shipped though. My first and last order through them. They are nice over the phone though. I have never ordered anything on Ebay--total noob--so I will definitely check the seller's reviews, thanks for the heads up.

Thats sad that the company doesn't know whats going on.

You could post a "WTB" in the Buy/Sell/Trade on this site maybe there is a breeder here that could help you out.
I thought it was a little strange myself that no one knows if they even actually shipped. I'll find out more tomorrow and update how it's going. I have been keeping a eye on the forum here for something that is a small enough quanitity for my incubator. There are several 'top sellers' on e-bay that I have been watching so once I get this mess straight then I will probably try there. I wish my JG's were old enough to try their eggs!
they could still be ok... you got a week before you need to set eggs.
They could be if they get here tomorrow. But being shipped and in transit with no way of tellling where they went--I won't hold out much hope. Perhaps I'll get lucky and it will turn out that they haven't shipped at all, in which case that sure would be good news in a way. :)

Update: No they're still not here. Talked with a customer service person and they don't have any idea either where these are so they are reshipping eggs. I will wait to be excited about it if/when they ever show. To be extra fair, the people at My Pet Chicken have been very nice about the whole mishap and they cannot control the PO handling, that I understand, but not getting any kind of tracking # is kinda crazy, but apparently they do that to save money on the shipping charges. I would have paid more for the tracking # if I had known that, and will chalk it up to another learning experience in what to ask when having eggs shipped.

Well I'm glad they are shipping you more eggs. My guess is they never shipped them out and are blaming the PO for this lost order. It can't be the added cost because they could just add the cost into the shipping fee on the order. If given a choice most people would gladly pay the added fee, just to know where it is in route.

The re-shipment arrived. They were all intact and looked okay. The box was pretty banged up on one side (funny because it was banged up/smooshed right where they had printed FRAGILE

). The ice pack was still cool even. They sent me 8 eggs for an order of 6, which is kinda neat, but my incubator only holds 7 eggs so I had to whip out my LG and will hope for the best with that. I never tried it with eggs before, I had such trouble when I bought it over a year ago trying to get temp stable that I gave up on it. My Mini Advance though is ready to go when they eggs are (12 hours or so from now!). I am not sure if I should wait to turn them for a couple of days or go ahead and put the auto turner set to "on" right away when I set them. If anyone has any advice on that it would be greatly appreciated. I am excited about this and I hope that at least one egg hatches for me, but I know that it is my first time and with shipped eggs so ...

I read in another post that shipped eggs should be held in bator pointy side down for 7 days and no turning....
