i had a silkie go broody, and thought, well, if i stick eggs about to hatch under her butt, it'll get her up again faster. this is one of the nights when it went down in the 20's. i got up the next morning, and had to dig the eggs from the bedding. she had kicked the eggs out from under her. they were very very cold, but i thought, what the heck, and stuck them back in the incubator. (when i candled them, they looked dead). day 26 for them, there's a baby and one pipping. they just got delayed.
try candling them again once they are warmed up a little and you may be very surprised. but dont give up on them.
